Today we sat around the table and shared a family meal. We sit and eat together frequently but today was different. The television was off and we went around the table and shared one thing that we liked about each person at the table. I am so happy we did that. It was encouraging to hear what everyone had to say even my two year old contributed to the conversation. I also asked each person what they were looking forward to this week. I am hoping that family dinner time will be something special for our family. More than just a time to fill our bellies but a time to build one another up, and fill our hearts with memories that will last a lifetime. This Monday I am grateful for family dinners.

Our family meals are often chaotic - but I LOVE it when we do occasionally have one where we all sit down and actually TALK and enjoy each other. The highlight of my day. Glad you had a good one.
