Vacationing With Small Children Tip#5

Kids will be kids.

Accept it and move on.  They will be wiggly, inattentive, whiny, excitable and noisy.  Let’s face it that’s part of the charm of being a child.  In the above pictures my boys are convinced they are Jedi Knights.  Just look at Emmanuel ready to attack.  They were not concerned with others around. They were ready for battle.   Shame on me and anyone else for not understanding!

In the past I have disciplined my children because I was afraid of what others thought of them.  Look at those out of control kids! Their mother ought to be shame.  Well, people are entitled to their opinions.  But unless they are being inappropriate, or disrespectful their behavior can be summed up in one statement.  They are just being kids plain and simple, and they are entitled to a childhood. 

Accepting that children are not going to behave as adults allows me to relax and enjoy these fleeting moments that will be gone far too soon.
