I am joining up with iHomeschool Network for the 2012 Not Back to School Blog Hop. It’s a series of homeschool bloggers that will share certain topics each week as we prepare for the 2012-2013 school year. This week we are sharing our curriculum. I did a post previously about our final line up so I will not re post. However I have made a few changes. Instead of teaching a different science to Emmanuel he will be joining us for Earth Science and Astronomy. Additionally, I am not sure if Spanish will be on the agenda this year either. After much contemplation, it was clear that I needed to make things easier on myself by evaluating the schedule and cutting things that are not a must.
This year I am keeping it simple. Accepting my limitations and focusing on making the year great without overdoing it. Real talk, I am guilty of overachieving, setting the bar very high and then making everyone around me miserable while I kill myself and everyone else in hopes of accomplishing all my goals. So this year I’m stepping back and doing less.

I love the M&M math book! Where did you get it?
Ordered both M&M books from EBay.
I also want to M & M book, how great! Looks like you are going to have a great year :).
Thanks Paige.
You are going to have a great year. I can't wait to use Financial Peace Jr. with my kids. Like you, my goal in choosing curriculum this year was to not go overboard like the previous year. I wanted it to be simple without sacrificing the quality. Five days into our school year and so far I can say my choices have been spot on. Good wishes to you.
PS- Your sons are precious.
Thanks Brandy, it's good to hear that your selections are spot on. Thats a great feeling when you like your selections.
I love it!!! I sure wish I learned my lesson a few years ago about keeping it simple & not overachieving!!! Have a wonderful year - and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!
I believe that "keeping it simple" often accomplishes more than when we bite off more than we (or our children) can chew!
And the M&M book would be VERY popular at our house. :-)
