Our Classroom 2012-2013

I have worked tirelessly preparing the school room for our 2012-2013 school year. In fact my hard work is catching up with me. If I remain seated for more than ten minutes, I fall fast asleep.

The pencils are sharpened, the new supplies are all organized nice and neat and we are ready to go.

Our newest addition to the classroom is a computer station. Christopher can’t wait to get his hands on it.

Each child has a shelf with his materials, even Joshua.

My goals are posted and visible to set the tone for the year.  If you can read the goals don’t judge me.

My work area.  The day I took pictures for this post hubby was working on my computer.

One of our supply areas. I love our pencil sharpener it can sharpen all sizes, which is great for us since Emmanuel uses the fat pencils and Christopher the regular.

I keep flash cards, glue, crayons, rulers, blocks, some manipulatives and other craft supplies in this area.

We are not using the workbox system this year.  Initially I worried about it.  However we are keeping many of our books in our desk this year and pull them out as needed.

Pretty basic but just right for us.

I love your desk area! I also love your goals. My #1 goal this year is to make it more fun and to not be so hard core about it. I really need to be a little more flexible during the day. Less yelling and more lauging for sure!

Tiffany,

I am totally loving your new set-up for school. I really like the desk area for the children and the different stations for supplies. There is so much order, which will make a difference for them and you. I'm also glad that you got your laptop up and running again. Husbands are good like that.

Great school room! Your Goal list is mine too. Any homeschooling mother who says that that is not them is just lying. LOL

Where did you get the pencil sharpener? It looks great and I'm a total office supply nut.

Mary I got the pencil sharpener from Staples. Its their heavy duty brand.

Thanks for stopping by the other day and visiting my blog. I know the feeling of panic right before the school year begins. For all my activity , I STILL missed a couple of subject areas in the kids' planners--UGH!! Yet, it's been a year, thus far, with no major drama. Then again, it's only been 1-1/2 weeks. Love your school room! Is it always this clean? We use our kitchen and dining room tables, and the house is NEVER ready for surprise guests, that's for sure! Blessings to you!!

Belinda, I try my best to keep the classroom neat . Many days it's the only neat room in the house.

Love your goals! I am simple too. It makes cleaning and keeping things straightened a little easier.
